|While creating my fan-trailer for 0.97, I flew into the center of a cluster, hunting for black holes (they are extremely photogenic for me ). |
Then I found one, orbited by dozen of stars, like usual. Here is one frame of the footage:
The thing is, that the flare effect is distorted by the black hole. It is a very cool effect, especially when the black hole moves in front of the star, but is not that realistic. Here's why for me:
You might now that (lens) flares are caused by refraction of light on the camera lens, causing ghosts. So, because the black hole is not in the lens, the light coming of a lens flare should not be twisted like that.
Just a minor thing, nothing really important for now, as I really enjoy taking shots of comets and auroras all around the universe (and the new cool feature of video capture with the GUI is amazing )
