Specifically which bug are you talking about here?
In deep space, between the stars, all you would see is a dark silhouette against the stars. The only light there would be is that coming from windows and whatever exterior lights the ship has. So, not being able to see the starship after say, 10,000 AU (I really don't know how far away it would have to be for the light to be so dim that there isn't enough light from the star for our eyes to see it, and it would vary by the star) is realistic.
Space Engineer has already fixed the bug involving whether the spaceships current location is defined as interstellar or intergalactic space.
The bug is that when you go outside a system the spaceship dissapear, i don't like it So i asked the code to think to a possible solution, because I prefer a black spaceship that it disappear, and then, maybe in future, interior lights will be added, and so it will not be all black after all...
For example: Here there is an evidence of a spaceship, even if it is black... (i'm on the limits of the system)
But here, there still is the spaceship, but it's disappeard, so you can see the stars throught it, that's what I don't like
