| Quote Billy_Mayes ( ) Which video codec should I use Depends on what you have. I use the DivX codec. Unless real-time recording is required, then I use Fraps (as an external program) and convert later.
And there's a great big sticky thread right here for talking about this kind of stuff, and I think this has already been discussed there.

| I made a mediocre SE gameplay video showing off the major additions to 0.971. Probably not of much interest to SE veterans, but hopefully new users and people browsing Youtube will find it worthwhile.

| Brilliant, Harb!
For me it's impressive that you can record such a long sequence. SE rarely runs for more than 5 to 10 minutes for me before it crashes. Often, though, it gives me an early warning with polygons flying all over the place enabling me to exit and restart without losing my position.

| HarbingerDawn, in the video I noticed you're using some kind of cursor (this), which I don't see when I play Space Engine. Why is that? Do I have to enable it somewhere?
Wait, it looks like I found where to enable it.
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

| I use that cursor when recording videos so it will be visible. When using SE normally I disable it.
